May 1st, 2026. OpenAI declared they had achieved AGI — the holy grail of machine intelligence. Headlines exploded. Markets moved.

Three hours later, OpenAI's founder Sam Altman clarified what AGI actually stood for.

It wasn't artificial general intelligence. It was artificial goblin intelligence. He posted this:
